  Rigid core Loose lay
I have a smooth and level floor
The subfloor has imperfections
My floor is tiled / I need to preserve the existing surface
I have a new build or an extension and the floor is still drying out
I want to reduce noise from upstairs rooms
I would prefer not to have an expansion gap and instead fit my floor against the skirting board

Rigid core:

Our Korlok, Korlok Regent and Palio Rigid floors are quick and easy to install with minimal subfloor preparation. The 'rigid core' construction makes these floors ideal for laying over surfaces with imperfections. Fitting is simple and requires no specialist tools – simply cut to size with a score and snap technique then click into place for a beautiful result in no time.

For full instructions on fitting our rigid core ranges, please see the Korlok installation guide, Korlok Regent installation guide and Palio Rigid installation guide.

Loose lay:

Palio LooseLay is installed by placing the planks or tiles tight to each other and to the perimeter of the room and grips the floor thanks to a combination of weight and a friction grip backing. This makes it super easy to install, often without the need for adhesive*, and allows individual planks or tiles to be conveniently lifted and replaced if required.

*For rooms larger than 16m2, or areas where tight fitting is not possible such as thresholds and under kitchen units, tackifier is required when fitting Palio LooseLay. Please see installation guidelines for details

Scotia and skirting boards:

Choosing one of our rigid core floors? You'll need to ensure an expansion gap is left around the perimeter of the room but this couldn't be easier to cover as our colour matched scotias help you acheieve a seamless and professional finish. If you prefer to match your edge trims to your skirting, we also offer a white paintable scotia. Alternatively, if you're wanting to replace your skirting boards, opt for our waterproof and durable skirting boards to beautifully finish your Palio Express floor.
